The vision of a preschool at St. Paul’s began with the realization that a long-time preschool was closing their doors, leaving only two preschools to serve our community. A committee was formed and began brain-storming about such an endeavor for St. Paul’s. The vision of “Little Blessings” was presented at St. Paul’s annual meeting in January 2020 and was approved by an overwhelming majority.
The preschool is sponsored by St. Paul’s Lutheran and is under the direction of a director with the aid of a Preschool Board consisting of five individuals.
The Montessori teaching method is emphasized. It is our mission to provide a quality preschool program which will expose children to the skills necessary for a successful kindergarten experience. The children experiment at his/her own pace with colors, shapes, numbers, and letters, as well as gross and fine motor skills. One of the greatest benefits of a preschool experience is to help our kiddos develop social skills, such as taking turns, sharing, following directions, and learning to get along with others of their own age.
“Little Blessings” opened its doors in the fall of 2020, with nine very excited and energetic 3-and-4 year olds. The preschool meets for three hours every Tuesday and Wednesday morning (8:00-11:00 a.m.) in St. Paul’s church basement.
